Our coconut sap is extracted through a process called “tapping” which involves snipping off the stem of the coconut flower and bending it into a vessel letting the sap slowly drip out into a collection vessel. The slow drip of the coconut sap is similar to the rate at which coconuts receive it as they mature. A tree that is used to collect sap is called a “Sap tree” since it will no longer produces coconuts.
What’s more, none of Munkijo’s products are adulterated, which is why our organic coconut sugar and organic coconut nectar have a distinctly fresh taste and quality.
